Mahama in India to attend AfDB group meeting

Former President John Dramani Mahama has left Ghana for Ahmedabad, India to attend the 52nd Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group.

This is according to a statement issued by the Special Aide to ex-president John Mahama Joyce Bawah Mogtari.

Mr Mahama is attending the annual meeting at the invitation of the AfDB and the Indian government.

Former President John Mahama will be speaking at a session on ‘Engaging Africa’s youth in Agriculture’. He is also expected to participate in a number of other sessions which include Financing Infrastructure, Addressing Africa’s nutrition challenges, and Africa- Asia Partnerships.

The AfDB, which works to reduce poverty and improve the living conditions of African people, is meeting on the theme ‘Transforming Agriculture for Wealth Creation in Africa.’

The meeting formally opens on Monday will end on May 26, 2017.
